Description

Roli, also known as Kumkum, is a mixture of turmeric and lime. Preparation of roli involves soaking real pure turmeric lumps in lime water for an extended period, followed by drying and finely grinding them. The alkali in the lime causes the turmeric lumps to turn red, resulting in the preparation of Kumkum/Roli.
